Tend remakes the entire dental experience by adhering to the highest standard of care, using state-of-the-art technology, and taking care of not just oral health, but overall health.

OBJECTIVE

Tend Dental, a venture capital-backed dentistry practice, came to Dochter & Alexander for help expanding in their first market outside of New York City. Tend emphasizes branding, aggregation, and consistency, and trusted Dochter & Alexander’s unique approach to help them identify more retail-oriented locations beyond the typical dentist office. Tend seeks out locations that look and feel great, with an emphasis on customer experience.

STRATEGY

Dochter & Alexander began by identifying urban core opportunities, including a space on 14th Street. But when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we quickly adjusted our strategy to adapt to a new hybrid model. We maintained Tend’s high-end, customer-focused brand identity and started to look for top-tier suburban locations as well. This agile approach let us capitalize on new, unexpected real estate opportunities.

RESULTS

Taking a flexible approach and adapting to real-time market changes, Dochter & Alexander helped Tend expand to six locations, including Capitol Hill, F Street, and Ballston.
